Through intimate interviews, art, and rarely seen archival film and video footage, Lynn Hershman Leeson’s !Women Art Revolution reveals how the Feminist Art Movement fused free speech and politics into an art that radically transformed the art and culture of our times.
Following the film will be a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker, Lynn Hershman Leeson; Moira Roth, Feminist Art Historian and critic (Mills College); Jennifer DeVere Brody, chair of Theater and Performance Studies at Stanford; Pamela Lee, Professor of Art History at Stanford, Camille Utterback, Assistant Professor of Art Practice at Stanford and Tammy Rae Carland, artist and chair of photography at CCA.
The event will be held at the Denning Family Resource Center located at 314 Lomita Drive, Stanford, CA. Free and open to the public.
